Metro Radio and Beamish Hall have joined together to give one lucky listener a luxury wedding they’ll never forget!

We’re giving listeners the chance to tie the knot on a tropical beach of their choice*, they’ll stay in a top star hotel in the finest all inclusive hospitality, we’ll provide the flowers, the cake, the suit and gown, the legal arrangements, the rings photography plus a breathtaking reception for 100 friends and family at Beamish Hall including buffet, drinks reception and a ‘More, Music Variety’ disco.

All you have to do to win is raise the most money for Metro Radio’s charity ‘Cash for Kids’.

We’re looking for 5 brides to take part in a fundraising extravaganza to help to raise money to support disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the North East – but be warned the challenge is not for the faint hearted….

We’re going to be taking 50 brides to Beamish Wild at Beamish Hall on Thursday 7th May 2009, where we’ll be short listing our 50 brides down to 10 through a series of challenges...

We’ll divide the 50 brides into groups of 10, our brides will then take part in a series of activities including...

Cupids Arrow
Lovers Leap
Tying the knot
Bouquet throwing
Tower of Love

The overall winner of each group will automatically take the first 5 places in our shortlist, the next 5 brides will be chosen based upon the personality they have shown throughout the tasks.

We’ll then take our 10 finalists for a short X-Factor style audition to determine who our final 5 brides will be.

The next morning the final 5 brides will be revealed on the Tony Horne in the Morning Breakfast Show.

Their challenge will start the following Monday 10th May 2009 when they are sent out for 7 days along with a Metro Radio chaperone to raise as much money as they can for Metro Radio’s ‘Charity Cash for Kids’.

We’ll supply each bride with a list of possible fundraising activities for them and their friends to consider, PR advice and set up a profile and just giving page for them on www.metroradio.co.uk.

Following the 7 days of fundraising our brides will be brought back into the Metro Radio studios and Tony Horne will reveal which bride has raised the most money to help needy children and in return won the wedding of their dreams for them and their partner.
