The Ropes Activity Centre at Beamish Hall provides fantastic outdoor fun and adventure for families, school groups, corporate groups and any other thrill-seeking individuals.

Birds of Prey
Beamish Wild’s Bird of Prey Conservation Centre is dedicated to the preservation of all species of bird of prey.

Situated within the magnificent stately grounds of Beamish Hall Country House in Durham, we are uniquely placed within a beautifully enchanted woodland setting that provides a comfortable and as near as possible natural habitat for our resident birds.

Our superb and impressive wild bird family is on view all year round. See cute baby barn owls and witness the power and elegance of our resident raptors as they soar through the sky in our daily flight demonstrations.

Our resident birds at Beamish Wild include magnificent Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles, African White Backed Vultures and Snowy Owls. You will also see and interact with our cute baby owls. These are only a few amongst a host of other fascinating birds of prey such as hawks, falcons and other owls. Our daily flight presentations and displays offer a thrilling insight into the unique abilities of our birds, and give us the opportunity to promote all of our relevant conservation work as it happens.
